A few days earlier the message of the esteemed leader of the Islamic Emirate, Amir-ul-Mumineen Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, was published on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The message elucidated the policy of the Islamic Emirate about various subjects related to Afghanistan and the ongoing Jihad. The message of Amir-ul-Mumineen on the occasion of Eid is well received by the media and the people and distributed widely throughout the country including in townships, villages, mosques, educational institutions and public gatherings.

On top of clarifying the policy of the Islamic Emirate regarding various political, military and social issues, one part of the message that stood out boldly was the plan of Amir-ul-Mumineen about ending the current crisis of Afghanistan which if implemented by all parties, could bring about a resolution.

The message of Amir-ul-Mumineen reads:

“The signing of the historic agreement with the United States of America and the resultant termination of occupation is an extraordinary accomplishment for the Islamic Emirate and the entire Afghan Mujahid nation that can prove beneficial for all sides if implemented sincerely. The Islamic Emirate is committed to the agreement signed with America and urges the other side to honor its own commitments and not allow this critical opportunity go to waste. The implementation of this agreement can prove to be a powerful instrument for bringing an end to the war between America and our country and for establishing peace and an Islamic system in our homeland.

I urge American officials to not afford anyone the opportunity to obstruct, delay and ultimately derail this internationally recognized bilateral agreement between us and you. The text of the agreement is explicit and constitutes a promising framework beneficial for both our nations and for problem resolution that must be fully implemented. Let us move forward with the implementation phase so that a path is paved for the withdrawal of your forces and for peace and security to take hold in Afghanistan and the region.”

If we closely analyze these paragraphs of the message by the esteemed Amir-ul-Mumineen, the leader of Islamic Emirate, it becomes clear that the most appropriate, just and logical way forward to ending the crisis lies in them – a path to resolution if implemented would not only protect all sides from harm but will prove beneficial for everyone.

The Islamic Emirate which considers the Doha agreement the key to the solution for the Afghan issue and therefore remains completely committed to it, hopes that the officials of the United States would also remain committed to it by recognizing its significance and implementing each phase step by step in accordance with the specified timeframe.

The announcement of a ceasefire during Eid-ul-Fitr shows that the Islamic Emirate is trying to solve the issues in good-faith and is not seeking to foment tensions. It is hoped that the other side will also discharge its responsibilities and remove all hurdles laying in the path of a resolution.
