The initiation of a detailed design and feasibility study project for the Aghajan Dam in Uruzgan province has been announced by ministry of water and energy of the IEA.
Mr. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Economic Deputy Prime Minister, officially launched the project aimed at conducting a thorough design and feasibility study of the Aghajan Dam in Uruzgan.
During the inauguration of this endeavor, Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund underscored the significance of water management in the current circumstances, describing the commencement of this project as a crucial stride towards advancing water management, agriculture, and the economy.
With a storage capacity of around 70 million cubic meters of water, the dam is poised to irrigate 7,000 hectares of agricultural land.
It is important to note that the survey and design activities for this dam will be carried out by the National Development Company under the directive of His Highness Amirul Momineen Sheikh Sahib Hizullah.
