Afghanistan secures 3rd, 4th spots in international recitation competition

Representatives from the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan clinched the third and fourth places in the 9th international contest focusing on memorization and proficient recitation held in Turkey, said a statement of the ministry of information and culture.

The embassy acknowledged the diligent work of the Ministry of Information and Culture in supporting the participants.

This annual competition in Turkey features around fifty Islamic nations. Qari Abdul Rab Ayubi achieved the third position in the Hasan recitation category, while Qari Shafiq Amini attained the fourth position for his memorization of the Holy Quran.

The Ministry of Information and Culture, supported by the cultural attaché in Ankara, Turkey, was commended by the embassy for honoring the two Hafiz who brought honor to the nation by securing the third and fourth spots among fifty participating countries, both materially and spiritually.
