In Malaysia, the embassy marked the third anniversary of the withdrawal of the final American soldier from Afghanistan and the nation’s significant triumph at the Intercontinental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

The event was attended by the Advisor to the Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Special Representative for Afghanistan, along with officials from foreign affairs, defense, interior, and various ministries from countries such as Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, as well as Ambassadors from Tajikistan, Iran, Pakistan, and the Maldives.

Additionally, embassy assistants from Palestine, Brunei, Vietnam, Russia, Argentina, Venezuela, and Kuwait, along with diplomats from numerous other nations, leaders of prominent political and religious factions in Malaysia, Afghan residents in Malaysia, students, scholars, and academics were present. Notably, Mr. Mufti Noor Ahmed Noor, the head of the first political department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul, graced the occasion as a special guest.

The gathering commenced with the recitation of holy verses from the Quran, followed by a warm welcome extended to all guests by the acting head of the embassy, Mr. Naqeebullah Ahmadi. In addition to extending felicitations on Afghanistan’s third year of independence, he reflected on the challenges endured during the 20-year occupation and the nation’s resilient struggle. Discussions centered around Malaysia-Afghanistan relations and the foreign policy of the Islamic Emirate.

Mr. Mufti Noor Ahmad Noor from Kabul shared insights on Afghanistan’s current state and foreign diplomacy, followed by a discourse by the Advisor and Special Representative of the Malaysian Foreign Minister, Mr. Dato Azam, on Malaysia-Afghanistan relations and assistance efforts.

Concluding the speeches, the Mufti of Perlis State in Malaysia, Professor Dr. Muhammad, emphasized the leadership of Afghans in the jihad and struggle, extending heartfelt remembrances and congratulations to the entire Afghan populace on their remarkable victory.

The event culminated with a viewing of a historical and jihad-related video pertaining to Afghanistan, followed by a reception hosted by the embassy.
