Afghan Railway Delegation Meets Iranian railway Head

KABUL, Aug. 29 – Mullah Bakhtur Rahman Sharaft, Director General of the Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA), and the accompanying delegation met with the head of the Railway Authority of Iran and the deputy of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Seyed Mead Salehi.

Seyed Mead Salehi, the head of the Iranian Railways Authority, expressed his happiness at the visit of the Afghan delegation to this country and said that we hope that these meetings will lead to the development of bilateral cooperation.

Iranian Railways Authority head Seyed Mead Salehi expressed satisfaction with the Afghan delegation’s visit and hopes for bilateral cooperation growth.

Mr, Sharafat expressed gratitude to the Iranian Railway Authority for initiation of transfers over the Khawaf-Herat railway. The Afghan team received assurances of cooperation and working to increase transfers on the third segment of the Khawaf-Herat railway.

It is worth mentioning that Mullah Bakhtur Rahman Sharaft, General Director of Afghanistan Railway Authority, and his accompanying delegation have visited the country on the official invitation of Iran Railway Authority.
