Paktika police have intercepted a significant cache of weapons and ammunition intended for Afghanistan from Pakistan, says a report of the ministry of interior.
The weapons seized including 16 Kalashnikovs, 5 M4 rifles, 16 pistols with 4,500 rounds, 48 grenade launchers, 6,000 electric firecrackers, two motorcycles, and various other military equipment.
Although the individuals responsible for this incident fled across the border, law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing efforts to apprehend them.
