The contemporary Afghans, who are descendants of the Aryans, are renowned as prominent carpet traders globally. Northern provinces of Afghanistan, including Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Sarpul, Kunduz, and Samangan, are particularly famed for their carpet weaving traditions.
