The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, together with his counterpart from Turkmenistan, Rashid Muradov, inspected the ongoing construction of the TAPI pipeline in Afghanistan near the shared border between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, Deputy Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted that during this encounter, both parties reached an agreement to further expedite the progress of the TAPI project by conducting continued discussions between technical teams in Kabul and Ashgabat. The aims included enhancing the railway network, electricity supply, transportation infrastructure, streamlining visa procedures, and broadening economic cooperation.
Additionally, the visit encompassed discussions not only on the operational advancements of the TAPI pipeline but also on the expansion of the railway line, the railway line warehouses in Torgundi, the installation of optical fiber, and the simplification of visa and transportation protocols.
