The Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan, took part in the commemoration program marking the 300th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Turkmen poet and philosopher, Makhtumghli Faraghi.
Mr. Fazl Mohammad Sabir, the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Ashgabat, attended the official event at the invitation of the Turkmenistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to honor the legacy of Makhtum Gholi Faraghi on October 11, 2024. Notably, this significant gathering was graced by the presence of presidents from Iran, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Tatarstan, along with other dignitaries, representatives from international and regional organizations, influential figures from cultural and literary realms, as well as domestic and international media personnel.
Makhtumghli Faraghi holds a distinguished status as a key literary and intellectual figure among the Turkmen populace. His enduring impact on Turkmen culture persists through the centuries, securing a special place in the hearts and minds of the Turkmen people.
