Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Mr. Abdullah Aripov, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, and his accompanying delegation of Uzbek ministers, traders, and investors.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality and highlighted the profound religious, cultural, and historical bonds between the two countries.

He stated that the relations between the two countries are founded based on mutual respect and cooperation and further mentioned that the government and people of Uzbekistan are keen to enhance and strengthen their ties with the Islamic Emirate in various sectors. The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan stated that the government, along with traders and investors from Uzbekistan, is keen to invest in Afghanistan’s railway, mining, agriculture, energy, and trade sectors. He also underscored that the government of Uzbekistan is eager to translate these commitments into practical steps, rather than merely making formal promises.

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, extended a warm welcome to Mr Abdullah Aripov, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, along with his accompanying delegation, and described the relationship between the governments and nations of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan as one of brotherhood. He further highlighted that the ties between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in the cultural, religious, economic, and political spheres are deeply historic, and assured that these relations will consistently remain based on mutual respect and cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs stated that the Islamic Emirate has created a conducive environment for all types of investment and trade in Afghanistan, and encouraged Uzbek traders and investors to invest in Afghanistan.
