Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Administrative Assistant of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, along with the Head of the Ministry of Hajj, and religious affairs Mawlawi Noor Muhammad Saqib, convened with a high-ranking delegation of scholars from Uzbekistan, afternoon hours yesterday.

During this meeting, the leader of the delegation and Grand Mufti of Uzbekistan, Sheikh Nooruddin Khaliq Nazar, articulated the aim of their visit to fortify and foster relations between the two nations. He emphasized the religious, historical, and cultural bonds shared by Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, advocating for the expansion of relations across various domains based on these shared foundations.

The delegation’s head and the Grand Mufti of Uzbekistan underscored that such visits present valuable opportunities for enhancing cultural ties, reinforcing beliefs, and promoting shared values, urging both countries to leverage these platforms for strengthening relations.

Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Administrative Assistant to the Prime Minister, warmly received the esteemed delegation of Uzbek scholars, interpreting their visit to Afghanistan as a testament to the friendship, close ties, neighborly goodwill, and mutual interests shared between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

Hanafi highlighted that such visits pave the way for establishing new collaborations grounded in mutual interests and taking substantive measures to bolster relations between the two nations.

The honorable Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi also acknowledged the opportunities unfolding in Afghanistan, noting that delegation visits contribute significantly to the enhancement of bilateral relations.
