H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Administrative Deputy Prime Minister participated and addressed the graduation ceremony of 120 heirs of martyrs and disabled, Organized by Ministry Martyrs and Disabled Affairs, said ARG in a statement.

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, appreciated Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs for organizing the program in order to empower heirs of the martyrs and disabled.

Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi added, after the communist coup in Apr. 1978 followed by the Soviet Union invasion of Afghanistan caused martyrdom and disability of millions of our compatriots including children, he also added, after the victory of the Mujahideen and during the civil war, thousands of our countrymen were crippled and disabled, and unfortunately, in the past twenty years, when Afghanistan was invaded by the West, thousands of Mujahideen, youths, women and students were martyred and disabled.

Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi expressed, Islamic Emirate understands its responsibility towards the widows and orphans of the martyrs of Islamic Emirate, widows and orphans of ordinary people who were martyred as a result of bombing by occupiers, and widows and orphans of those who fought against Islamic Emirate, registered with Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs, they are under the guardianship of MMDA and provided with education and training.

H.E. Mawlawi Abdul Hanafi stated, it is a source of happiness that today we are witnessed of the graduation of 120 heirs of martyrs and disabled in various professions, which surely make them self-sufficient.

Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, while referring the issue of drug addicts said: unfortunately, a large number of our compatriots have become addicted in the past twenty years and a million of them are women and children, but luckily IEA collected thousands of addicts in various camps across the country for treatment.

The deputy PM urged assistance of businessmen for empowering and educating the heirs of martyrs and disabled, so they could become self-sufficient.
