KABUL, Nov. 16 –  Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar met with the Ambassador of the European Union Ms. Raffaella in his office.

Mr. Delawr welcomed the EU ambassador and briefed about the achievements of the Islamic Emirate in the past 13 months, such as Afghanistan’s natural resources, activities, revenue, transparency, national sovereignty and overall security.

We are trying to create more facilities in the mining sector in order to create better transparency and speed in addition to providing investment land in this sector, added mining minister.

In meeting, the two sides also discussed various topics including the current situation of the country and the solution of the problems.

Ms. Raffealla praised performence of the ministry and also lauded role of the ministry important in the development of the country.

The ambassador of the European Union promised cooperation in Afghanistan’s mining sector and also mentioned the humanitarian aid programs.
