Acting Minister of Interior Affairs IEA meets OIC delegation

KABUL, Sep. 04 – Acting Minister of Interior Affairs IEA, H.E Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani met with a visiting delegation of (OIC), Organization of Islamic Cooperation. In this meeting, members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation praised the security and stability in the country and said that the Islamic Emirate has been able to make significant progress in various fields in addition to strengthening the overall security within two years.

According to the members of the said organization: The Islamic Emirate has maintained stability in Afghanistan by implementing the best monetary policy, preventing Khawarij and criminal incidents, as well as successfully fighting against narcotics, and has implemented many promises made to this organization.

The said delegation praised some decrees of the Islamic Emirate for women rights and according to them, the said decrees were able to prevent oppression and abuse of women and as well help them in inheritance.
The purpose of this delegation’s visit to the country was to continue cooperation between Islamic countries and that they have common feelings with the officials of the Islamic Emirate. The members of the said delegation mentioned that education is a common right of men and women and said: Along with religious education, modern education leads to the development of society.

While welcoming the said delegation, H.E Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani thanked the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for its good intentions and said that Afghanistan is taking steps towards development with each passing day.

H.E Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani also added: Education is a shared need of Muslims and he asked the visiting delegation to have patience in this regard. Girls’ education is the need of our society and this issue will be solved according to the conditions.

H.E Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani also said: “The Islamic Emirate is not like the way it has been described to the world and that Afghans are people full of kindness and cooperation.”
In the end the Acting Minister assured that he will continue his efforts to solve every legitimate shortcoming.
