Acting Minister of Information and Culture visits Kandahar University

KANDAHAR, Feb. 02 – Acting Minister of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa visited Kandahar University on Wednesday, accompanied by Mullah Shamsullah Samim, deputy head of Kandahar’s information and culture department.

The Acting Minister of Information and Culture also visited various faculties of Kandahar University and the library of Kandahar University and met with Dr. Zakaria, Rector of the University, Mohammad Nasir Nekzad, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration, and lecturers.

During the meeting, various scientific and educational issues were discussed. Mr. Khairkhwa expressed gratitude on starting of universities. The Acting Minister of Information and Culture called religious and modern knowledge the only way for the development and achievements of a country, adding that the present world is a world of knowledge and development, countries are competing with knowledge.

Mr. Khairkhwa assured the leadership of Kandahar University and all the faculty members of full cooperation on behalf of the Islamic Emirate and added that they should intensify their efforts in the field of science and development.

The President of Kandahar University and all the faculty members assured of doing their best to educate the new generation and will focus on equipping the students with religious and modern knowledge.
