KABUL, Mar. 04 – The Special Political Representative of the European Union, Thomas Nicholson, the Ambassador of the European Union, Rafaela Yudecha, the General Adviser of the European Union, Jenny Green, and the delegation called on Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah, the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture of the IEA, today.

Both parties expressed gratitude for their cooperative efforts during this meeting, which also covered a number of other matters and the state of Afghanistan.

In light of Islamic beliefs and national interests, the acting head of the Ministry of Information and Culture proclaimed his full support for free speech and media activities and pledged to safeguard the nation’s cultural and historical heritage.

Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah also requested the European Union’s economic cooperation with Afghan media, media organizations and journalists.

Meanwhile, Thomas Nicholson also addressed and praised the Islamic Emirate’s efforts in this area while discussing the protection of cultural and historical heritage, freedom of expression, and particularly the examination of media scandals.
