KABUL, Nov. 04 – The Acting Minister of Energy and Water, H.E. Alhaj Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, met with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Kabul, Mr. Paul Klouman Bekken, along with several other officials from the embassy, They discussed and exchanged ideas on joint coordination and cooperation in the field of water projects.
During this meeting, both sides discussed specific programs for combating climate change, reducing the effects of drought, and implementing other public programs related to water management.
The Acting Minister of Energy and Water welcomed the officials from the Norwegian Embassy, emphasizing that, given the country’s water resource shortages and the impact of frequent droughts, it is imperative for international organizations to collaborate with Afghanistan in this regard.
Simultaneously, the officials from the Norwegian Embassy also pledged their cooperation in the field of water and assured that they would invite other international institutions to participate in water projects in Afghanistan.
