Amid ongoing visits to evaluate the educational situation and meet with education officials, scholars, and elders of the southern provinces, Alhaj Mawlawi Habibullah Agha, the Acting Minister of Education, has now arrived in Paktika Province. In a meeting with Mawlawi Abdul wakil Khalid, the head, leadership and employees of the Department of Education, Sheikh Abdul Qudoos Aazami, the head, and officials of the Council of Scholars and intellectuals of Paktika Province, the Acting Minister of Education discussed the ministry’s developmental plans and programs aimed at strengthening religious and contemporary sciences. He also highlighted the educational facilities and opportunities provided by the Ministry of Education for the children of the nation.

He emphasized that since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, with the financial support of national traders, pro-education people, and aid organizations throughout the country, hundreds of schools have been constructed. He added that they are striving to expand educational centers to all parts of the country and will spare no effort in this regard. Subsequently, the head and some esteemed scholars welcomed the Acting Minister of Education to the province and expressed their pleasure and appreciation that, despite his official duties, he visited the province.

The head of the scholars of Paktika Province raised several educational and training issues of their province, including the shortage of professional teachers, the need for an increase in the administrative and teaching staff of the Department of Education, the lack of buildings for some schools where students study in open spaces, the problems of Ali Baba High School, the upgrading of some schools to middle and high school levels, and other issues. He requested the ministry’s leadership to instruct the relevant authorities to address these problems, to which the Acting Minister of Education promised that, if the necessary positions in the ministry’s structure are increased, priority would be given to the Department of Education of this province. Additionally, during this visit, the Acting Minister of Education and his team visited several schools and madrasas in the center of Paktika Province, including Hazrat Bilal (RA) Model High School, meeting closely with the officials, teachers, and students of these institutions to inquire about their conditions and problems and remind them of their responsibilities.
