KABUL, Feb. 03 – The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Wang Yu

The two sides discussed in detail the development of political relations, China’s investment in solar energy and mining in Afghanistan, the development of bilateral trade, and other issues.

Chinese ambassador expressed about expanding the country’s political ties with the new Afghan government. The Foreign Minister welcomed China’s constructive stance and appreciated the progress made in relations between the two countries.

Mr. Mottaki also appreciated the outcomes and progress of the recent meeting between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the IEA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China on Humanitarian Aid and Economic Reconstruction Mechanisms, and Also thanked China for facilitating exports of pine nuts.

The Afghan side also asked the Chinese ambassador to expedite mining of the mines where China invested and help in solving problems of Afghan students in China.
