Weekly Vomment:
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has emerged from among the Afghan nation, with its struggles always driven by Islamic motivation. Consequently, the decrees of Islamic Shariah represent the wishes and requests of Afghans, which should be implemented in this Islamic government. One of the key commandments of Islamic Shariah is the duty of propagation of virtue and prevention of vice, and the scholars are committed to adhering to this principle.
Unfortunately, UNAMA often evaluates the Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice from the perspective of other governments, which has recently intensified a wave of negative propaganda by providing statistics contrary to reality.
UNAMA should examine daily events in Afghanistan through the lens of Islamic Sharia and Afghan national traditions, which would reveal no human rights violations.
If UNAMA respects and appreciates the Sharia rules of Muslims, such an attitude will certainly foster greater interaction and trust between the Islamic Emirate and the organization. However, viewing the implementation of Sharia law as a violation of human rights in Afghanistan and subjecting the Islamic Emirate to a global propaganda attack with misleading statistics will inevitably strain relations between the Islamic Emirate and relevant organizations. This is not beneficial for any party involved.
The Islamic Emirate has repeatedly stated its desire for constructive interaction with all countries and international organizations, based on Islamic Sharia and Afghan national traditions.
