91,593 tons of goods transported by railway lines last week

KABUL, Feb. 13 – The Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) has reported a significant surge in goods transportation facilitated by the Afghanistan Railway during the past week, totaling 91,593 metric tons.

 

Out of this total, Hairatan Railway transported 71,050 tons, Aqeena Railway handled 11,436 tons, and Torghondi Railway managed 9,080 tons. These shipments consisted of petroleum, non-petroleum products, and various other commodities, playing a crucial role in the import activities of the country.

 

Notably, a portion of these transfers involved transit and export operations. During the previous week, 737 tons of goods were successfully transited and exported, primarily comprising dry fruits, rice, and fresh fruits.
