9 killed, post taken over in northern Afghanistan 

BALKH, Dec. 23 – Mujahideen of the Islamic Emirate seized a combat post in Khas Balkh district of northern Balkh province, killing 7 enemy military personnel including an officer while taking from the enemy’s possession 9 Kalashnikov machine guns and a good deal of ammunition.

In the province’s Shortipa district, 2 enemy soldiers were killed in a bomb attack on Monday.
