9 killed and wounded, equipment seized in Nawa

HELMAND, Sep. 08 – Mujahideen attacked a hireling check post close to Nawa district center overnight.
Attack in which heavy and light weapons were used, resulted in the check post overrun, killing and wounding 7 gunmen inside and forcing the rest to flee.
1 RPG launcher, 1 rifle, 2 heavy machine guns and other equipment was seized in the operation.
In another report from Mrajah district of the same province, a policeman – Wali Muhammad s/o Muhammad Barat – has repented his mistakes and left enemy ranks early morning on Wednesday, handing his rifle to Mujahideen, too.
