9 killed, 9 hurt as check post overrun in Pushtrod

FARAH, Aug. 01 – Amid ongoing Omari annual operation Mujahideen attacked a hireling check post located in Kasgin area of Pushtrod district overnight.
Attack that continued for about 2 hours resulted in the check post being overrun after brief resistance, leaving 9 gunmen killed with 9 others wounded.
It is said that 2 rifles, 3 motorbikes, 1 PKM and other war equipment was recovered from the check post.
An enemy tank was also shred into pieces by an IED during the operation, killing and wounding all gunmen abroad.
It is worth mentioning that over the course of several days Mujahideen have besiege several enemy check posts and bases in the surroundings of the said district and heavy clashes are underway during which so far 5 tanks have been destroyed, 49 gunmen killed with further 36 wounded.
Enemy also bombarded the area overnight. All praise belong to Allah as Mujahideen have suffered no casualties.
