9 killed, 3 arrested as post overrun in Gerishk

HELMAND, Dec. 20 – At around 8:00 pm local time on Tuesday, Mujahideen attacked an Arbaki check post along Herat road close to Turabi Hotel area of Gerishk district, overrunning the check post after killing 9 ALP gunmen and arresting 3 others while destroying a vehicle and 2 motorbikes.
It is said that 5 rifles, 2 PKM machine guns, 1 RPG launcher, 1 sniper gun and a mortar tube were also confiscated during the operation.
