In the period from the 10th to the 16th of the month of Hoot, the Ministry of Public Works facilitated the transportation of an impressive 85,718 metric tons of goods through its railway network. This substantial volume encompassed various commodities, including petroleum, non-petroleum items, and other materials, both imported and exported to and from the country.
The breakdown of this significant transportation effort revealed that 66,629 tons were transported via the Hairatan Port, 2,301 tons via the Aqina Port, 12,712 tons via the Torghundi Port, and 4,076 tons via the Khaf-Herat route.
Notably, a portion of this transport activity involved transit and exports, accounting for 2,390 tons last week. The majority of these exports comprised dried fruits, pomegranate juice, quinoa, and potatoes.
The surge in export levels and railway transportation not only facilitates trade but also leads to the creation of job opportunities, an increase in national income, and contributes to overall economic stability, growth, and self-sufficiency.
The Ministry of Public Works remains dedicated to fostering favorable conditions for enhanced transportation services and providing essential support to traders in their endeavors.
