This year, extensive cultivation of wheat has taken place in the mountainous districts of Jawzjan province, resulting in a substantial boost in wheat production compared to the previous year. Officials from the provincial agriculture department attribute this success to consistent and abundant seasonal rainfall, coupled with favorable climatic conditions.
Maulvi Abdul Jabbar Khattab, the Director of Agricultural Promotion at the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock in Jawzjan province, reports that in 1403 (the local calendar year), farmers have cultivated wheat across more than 23,000 hectares of land.
The significant increase in the yield of dry wheat is a testament to the combined efforts of farmers and favorable environmental factors. This achievement holds great importance for the region’s agricultural sector, contributing to increased food production and improving the livelihoods of local communities.
