8 killed as post overrun in Farah, equipment seized

FARAH, Mar. 25 – Reports arriving from Pusht Rod district of Farah province state that, Mujahideen carried out an attack on a police security check post in Chain Afghani area of the said district overnight.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted for about 2 hours, overrunning the said post after killing 8 puppets and forcing the rest to flee leaving corpses 1 PKM machine gun, 5 rifles and various other military stuffs behind.
2 Mujahideen are said to have been wounded during the operation, too.
