8 killed as 3 posts overrun in Ghorak, equipment seized

KANDAHAR, Oct. 03 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen carried out coordinated attacks on 2 hireling check posts in Dah Sabz area and another one in Charpaw area of the Ghorak district overnight.

Attacks of heavy and light arms resulting in all the 3 check posts overrun after a brief resistance, forcing the enemy flee while leaving behind 6 corpses on the battle ground.

Meanwhile enemy reinforcement came under a Mujahideen bombing, killing 2 gunmen on the spot.

As many as 4 motorbikes, 5 rifles and a sizeable amount of heavy and light arms were confiscated from the check posts.
