8 killed, 7 injured

JOWZJAN, June 1 – At least 8 enemy personnel were killed and 3 more were wounded when a group of the local militia walked into a Mujahideen ambush in Faizabad district of Jowzjan province.

A Kalashnikov machine gun and 1 hand grenade were captured from the enemy.

In the provincial capital of Jowzjan, 4 gunmen of the Dostum militia were wounded and a tank was destroyed in an attack by Mujahideen.

In a report from northern Balkh province, a commander was wounded in attack on a post in Sholgar district of the province, while in a similar attack an enemy was shot and wounded in the aforementioned district.
