HELMAND, May. 21 – A police check post located in Newi Karez area of Sangin district came under a Mujahideen attack overnight, amid ongoing operation Mansouri. Attack in which heavy and light arms used resulted in the post was completely overrun, killing 8 ANP personnel and arresting another while forcing the rest to flee leaving 1 PKM machine gun, 1 RPG launcher, 4 rifles, 2 mortar tubes and other equipment. All praise belongs to Allah almighty as Mujahideen suffered no casualties in the operation.
