8 including commander killed as 2 vehicles, APC destroyed in Helmand

HELMAND, Jun. 20 – At around 11:00 am local time today, Mujahideen attacked an enemy convoy on the road to capital Lashkargah, in Popalzo area, Nahr Siraj region of Gerishk district.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted till afternoon hours, destroying a ranger pickup, a Kamaz truck and an APC, killing an infamous police commander – Juma Khan Dostyr – along with 7 others.
