8 including commander killed, 3 rangers destroyed as post overrun in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Oct. 24 – A check post in Mashan area of Panjwaie district came under a Mujahideen attack overnight, amid ongoing Mansouri annual campaign.
Gunfight of heavy and light arms lasted for about one hour, overrunning the check post after killing 5 puppets and destroying 2 ranger pickups while seizing a PKM machine gun, 3 rifles, a pistol and other tools.
Meanwhile, enemy reinforcement troops arriving the scene also attacked by Mujahideen, killing an infamous enemy commander – Aligay – along with other and destroying his ranger pickup.
