8 corpses handed over to elders in Kunduz, fighting continues

KUNDUZ, Jul. 06 – Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate have been carrying out heavy attacks on enemy positions in Telawaki area of the provincial capital and Umar Khelo area of Ali Abad district amid the ongoing annual campaign ‘Operation Mansouri’.

Reports say that nearly all parts of Telawaki area has been cleared so far with the enemy under siege inside a base and few surrounding check posts while the main Kunduz-Baghlan highway has also been cut in Umar Khelo area of Ali Abad as two APCs were destroyed in the fighting yesterday.

According to a tally by Mujahideen, 35 combined hireling troops have been killed over the course of fighting with dozens of other wounded however some enemy sources put the toll at 64 killed and over 30 wounded received at the airbase.

Mujahideen allowed elders to take away the bodies of 8 hireling troops left behind by the retreating enemy during yesterday’s fighting in Umar Khelo area.

As usual, the enemy has resorted to indiscriminate use of firepower in the fighting which has destroyed a mosque and several housed in Telawaki area and caused death and injuries to over 10 civilians mainly women and children, according to officials who add that only 6 Mujahideen have been martyred in the fighting so far and 9 others injured, may Allah accept them.

On the other hand, the enemy announced an operation to retake the district center of Nawa in southern Helmand province and tasked the media with intense propaganda but when the invaders and their hireling commandos faced heavy resistance and casualties, the entire operation was called-off as all the troops fled and retreated last night.

According to reports, 8 American invaders were killed in the fighting and several others wounded while the hireling also suffered losses before realizing that retreat is the best option.
