74 enemy military personnel killed as martyr attack hits enemy major units

 PAKTIA, Sep. 1 – A martyr attack latest in the series martyrdom operations hit enemy military units in Gardiz city, the capital of Paktia province early today.

Early in the morning at about 5:00 AM, Mullah Abdul Aziz Baryalai, a brave Mujahid of the martyr unit of the Islamic Emirate conducted a martyr attack using his explosive-filled vehicle targeting the district police headquarters and another military unit.

After the first explosion, two more Mujahideen (Mullah Ataullah Quaid Helmandi and Mullah Esmatullah Saleh Gaznawi) armed with light and heavy weapons, explosives and other military stuff forced their way into the command building and kept engaging the enemy.

Having cleared the building of the enemy personnel, the two Mujahideen fought the battalion of the reinforcements including commandos for two and a half hours and forced them back.

At least 74 enemy military personnel including top-level officers were killed in today’s operation, whereas a large amount of arms, ammunition and military equipment were also destroyed.
