7 killed and wounded, APC and vehicle destroyed as post overrun in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Aug. 19 – According to reports, Mujahideen managed to overrun a hireling check post in Wam Dara area of Arghistan district last night after an intensive gunfight of heavy and light arms that lasted for 2 hours, killing 4 puppets, leaving 3 others wounded and destroying an APC and a ranger pickup as well as forcing the rest to flee while leaving 4 corpses behind.
A Dshk gun, 1 motorbike, 1 RPG launcher, 4 PKM machine guns, 7 rifles, 1 binocular, 4 communication radios, 4000 rounds of PKM, 1500 rounds of Kalashnikov and other tools were recovered as war booty.
