7 including 2 officers killed in southern Afghanistan

GHANZI, Oct. 21 – Shafiq, the deputy district police chief and his guard were killed in a one-hour long firefight caused by Mujahideen ambush in Qarabagh district of southern Ghazni province on Thursday.

Later, the enemy shelled a village in the mentioned district, flattening a house in which Omarzai Aka, his wife and three children were horrifically martyred.

In another report, a puppet was killed and one wounded in a bomb attack in Waghiz district of the province on Thursday.

Also Thursday, Mujahideen ambushed the enemy convoy in Qarabagh district of Ghazni province, sparking off fierce fighting that led to the death four puppets including a commander and five others were wounded. A supply truck and an armored were destroyed in the fighting.
