7 check posts overrun in Marjah, 5 APCs destroyed

HELMAND, Oct. 04 – Reports from Majrah district state that Mujahideen attacked enemy posts located on Lashkargah road between Trekh Nawar and Camp area midday today, amid ongoing Operation Omar.

Attacks of heavy and light weapons area said to be still ongoing, so far 7 check posts have been overrun, 5 APCs destroyed by RPG and heavy artillery fire, leaving 23 puppets killed or wounded most of corpses left behind.

Reports add, other enemy check posts are under heavy attacks of Mujahideen the details of which will be updated later.

1 RPG launcher, 1 PKM machine gun, Kamaz truck, vehicles and various types of ammunitions and war equipment have been seized.
