7 APCs destroyed in Nahr Siraj, heavy casualties caused

HELMAND, Aug. 13 – Reports from Gerishk district state that an APC was destroyed by rocket fire and further 6 by landmine attacks amid a gunfight that erupted against hirelings when combined enemy troops of ANA, ANP and ALP carried out offensive operation against Mujahideen positions in Nahr Siraj region’s Shindak Manda and Yaklang areas of Gerishk district to reopen the blocked rout, forcing the enemy to flee leaving behind 4 corpses on the battle ground.
The Kandahar- Herat and capital Lashkargah road remains cut-off, for which enemy has launched many offensive operations but every time they have been thwarted.
