IEA’s Chinese ambassador meets Norway’s special representative

Ambassador of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan to China, Mawlawi Asadullah Bilal Karimi, met with the Special Representative of the Government of Norway for Afghanistan, Mr. Paul Klauman , and the Ambassador of the Government of Norway to China, Mr. Vebjorn Dysvik, in Beijing.

Ambassador of the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Bilal Karimi, welcomed them and positively noted Norway’s role in Afghanistan.

Karimi also praised the recent progress in the diplomatic field with Norway, calling it an important step in strengthening and expanding positive relations and mutual interaction between the two countries.

Norwegian Special Representative for Afghanistan, Mr. Paul Kloman, said that we have always tried to bring Afghanistan closer to the international community and solve the challenges and problems that have become obstacles in this path.

Kloman added that we will continue our efforts and assistance to Afghanistan in climate change, alternative projects for poppy farmers, humanitarian assistance to the poor, and various other fields.

He praised the efforts of the I.E.A in good governance, economic projects, security, and other areas, and expressed his hope for further progress and improvement.

A number of other common issues were also discussed and views were exchanged during this meeting.
