The Administrative Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, and his delegation paid a visit to Bukhara province in Uzbekistan.

 

As part of official visit to Uzbekistan, Deputy Prime Minister Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi toured Bukhara province yesterday, engaging in meetings with local officials and exploring cultural and historic landmarks.

 

Upon their arrival in Bukhara province, the Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation were warmly received by the provincial governor and governmental representatives. Subsequently, a meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister Hanafi and the governor of Bukhara, Mr. Batur Zarifov.

 

During the welcoming address, Mr. Batur Zarifov emphasized the rich cultural and historical ties shared between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, underscoring the potential for utilizing these commonalities to bolster bilateral relations.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Uzbek authorities. He highlighted the deep historical connections and significant positions of both Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in Islamic culture and civilization, emphasizing the potential for further enhancing bilateral ties through the judicious utilization of these shared attributes.

 

Throughout their visit, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi and his delegation explored various Islamic and historical sites in Bukhara, further deepening their understanding of the region’s cultural heritage.

 

It is important to note that Bukhara province maintains robust relationships with Afghanistan across diverse sectors, including trade, culture, and social interactions.
