60 drug addicts released from Helmand central prison after treatment

HELMAND, Dec. 01 – 60 drug addicts have been released from the Helmand Central prison on Thursday after spending four months in jail, said provincial prison officials.

During the release of the prisoners, in-charge of the prisoners, Syed Mohammad Osman Sadat said; The said 60 people addicted to drugs are being released after successful treatment and full guarantees from their families

The treatment of the released prisoners has been monitored by health workers, and they were given regular food like other prisoners, he added.

Til now 3215 drug adduct have been released after complete treatment and assurance from their families, and 910 people are still under treatment.
