6 killed as ranger destroyed in Helmand, equipment seized

HELMAND, Dec. 11 – According to a recent report from Washir district of southern Helmand province, at around 9:00 am early this morning an enemy ranger pickup was destroyed amid a Mujahideen ambush on Herat highway in Sangilan area, leaving 6 gunmen killed on the spot with corpses still lay on the battle ground.
As many as 3 American heavy machine guns, 3 AK rifles, 1 RPG launcher and other military toll were confiscated in the operation.
