6 including commander killed, 5 others arrested as post overrun in Badghis

BADGHIS, Sep. 16 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Mansouri’, Mujahideen carried out an assault on a hireling check post close to Kandalan area of capital Kala Naw overnight.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted for about 4 hours, resulting in the post overrun after killing Commander Abdul Manan along with 5 others while arresting 5 others.
A PK machine gun, 10 rifles, 3 motorbikes, 1 communication radio and a sizable amount of ammunition were seized in the operation.
