Melon production increased by 20% in Kanduz

KUNDUZ, July. 20 – Melon production in Kunduz province has increased by 20 percent this year say officials of the Department of Agriculture and Livestock of the province.

Due to natural calamities, the area under wheat cultivation decreased last year, but the production increased, adds officials.

Farmers of the province are glad with the increase in melon production in this province and they want the government to market their produce.

Accordi g to Farmers, due to drought and lack of water this year, the melon crop has ripened prematurely.
