KABUL, Apr. 13 – Under the chairmanship of the Economic Deputy Prime Minister, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, a regular meeting of the Economic Commission was held in the Marmara Palace and topics were discussed according to the agenda.

After a comprehensive discussion in the meeting, it was decided that in order to complete the remaining works of Kamal Khan dams in Bakhshabad of Farah province and Nimroz provinces the relevant ministries and agencies should speed up their work after the approval of the budget.

In the meeting of the Economic Commission, the report presented by the Ministry of Finance related to the implementation of the decree of the esteemed Amirul Momineen regarding the activation of income sources was approved and decided to be shared with the high leadership office.

The office of deputy Economic PM and ministry of Finance has been tasked to work together more to activate revenue streams.

All the ministries and agencies have been advised to enrich their policies and share them with economic assistance in order to strengthen the income sources. In the meeting, a committee made up of the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Finance and Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, led by the National Food and Drug Administration, was assigned the task of preventing bringing illegal and low-quality food and drugs to Afghanistan and prepare a comprehensive procedure to prevent the supply and submit it urgently to the Economic Commission for approval. After this decision of the Economic Commission, all food and drug companies and traders were obliged to bring all their imports in line with the principles of the Food and Drug Administration within a period of one and a half months, if after the specified date they continue to use incorrect products will face legal action.

Also, in the meeting, for the purpose of supplying electricity to Qoshtepa and Darzab districts of Jawzjan Province, the technical committee formed under the leadership of Afghanistan Electricity Company was entrusted with the task of traveling to the said area and the matter of supplying electricity to said districts was closely discussed. Evaluates and submits its report to the Economic Commission for final decision.

At the end of the meeting, Kabul Municipality awarded the contracts of public and private partnership plans for the areas related to Behzad Cinema, the areas opposite to Behzad Cinema and behind the Qazi Plaza in the third Makrorian, with the conditions of the proposals submitted through free bidding have been approved.
