NORISTAN, Mar. 20.- In capital of Nooristan province, the foundation stone for the construction of a stadium and social center have been laid by Mr. Hafat Muhammad Agha Hakeem, the governor of the province, in cooperation with the refugee affairs department at the financial expense of the UNHCR organization.

The ceremony has been participated by the governor of Nooristan, the head of the eastern zone of the UNHCR International Office, William Ijalo, the head of the information and communication department, Mawlawi Samiul Haq Haq Bayan, the officials of the refugee affairs department, a number of administrative heads, national leaders and project engineers.

Mr. Hafiz Muhammad Agha Hakeem, governor of Nuristan, said that 340000 US dollars will be spent on these two projects, which will be provided by the United Nations Refugee Agency, and will provide employment opportunities to two hundred people.

The Governor further said that the sports stadium, which will be built on an area of ​​4 acres, will host other sports besides football games while the community center will be built on two floors with 8 rooms, including mosque, water network, electricity system and enclosure.
