BALKH, Mar. 08 – Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Economic Deputy Prime Minister of the IEA traveled to Balkh Province to visit the Qoshtepe Canal.

During the visit to the said canal, besides the Economic Deputy Prime Minister, the Administrative Deputy Prime Minister Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Mawlawi Najibullah Haqqani, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Mawlawi Sadr Azam, Deputy Minister of Interior Mohammad Ibrahim Sadr, Deputy Minister of Health Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq, Deputy of Da Afghanistan Bank Noor Ahmed Agha, Nangarhar Governor Haji Gul Mohammad, Balkh Governor Muzamal, Samangan Governor Haji Fazli Mawlawi Mati, the head of the Balkh Corps, and other high-ranking government officials also attended.

While visiting the aforementioned canal, Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund said: Our visit today is to check on the Qosh tepa Canal’s construction progress. Alhamdulillah, the work is going according to schedule thanks to the National Development Company’s leadership and prudent management.

The Honorable deputy PM also stated during his visit to the Qosh Tepa Canal that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to the implementation of the Canal and that one of the goals of our visit today was to reassure our country that we are committed to building this essential projects and finishing them in any case.

In the conclusion, the deputy PM commended the project managers’ efforts and provided them with the required suggestions to further their job.
