PAKTIKA, Mar. 07 – The Paktika public works department has started paving gravel on the 18-kilometer ring road to the east of Sharna, which used to be difficult for large vehicles to access and caused a lot of issues for drivers during rainstorms.

Alhaj Mawlwi Abdullah Mukhtar, the governor of Paktika, stated that this will lower the amount of huge vehicle traffic in the city while also making it more convenient for the locals and protecting them from the large vehicle traffic jams.

The 18-kilometer ring road to the east of Sharna has reportedly begun construction, according to Mawlawi Mohammad Akbar Adel, chairman of the Department of Public Works. Large vehicles will be able to travel on this road. On the other hand, Sharna’s residents won’t have to deal with traffic from heavy cars.

The province government is providing the 3 million AFN cost of this ring road, and the Department of Public Works will progress the job with its equipment, according to Mawlawi Adil.

The Department of Public Works recently completed construction of eleven culverts, from which the drivers and general public are pleased by the managment of work and the high quality construction.
