JAWZJAN, Feb. 19 – The process of strengthening the Amu River’s banks has begun, said a statement of ministry of energy and water.
The projects of strengthening the banks of the Amo river in Qarqin district of Jawzjan province, has been officially started in the presence of Mr. Mujib ur Rahman Umar Akhundzada, Deputy Minister of Water of the Ministry of Energy and Water, Head of North General River Basin Mr. Mawlawi Abdul Hakim Haji Hikmat, head of Jawzjan Sub River Basin, Qarqin district governor and some other local officials.
After the completion of the Mentioned project, the destruction of the areas affected by the water of the Amu River will be avoided.
